Helping Incorporate Reliable Employees (HIRE) is a community effort in Kern County focused in Bakersfield to help improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Bakersfield Mayor, the Honorable Harvey L. Hall has been committed to supporting the HIRE Committee since its inception. HIRE committee agendas, meeting minutes and directory can be viewed in our archives.

According to Mayor Hall, "The way we’ve been successful as The HIRE Committee is by establishing a network of community agencies where information is shared and connections are made that lead to employment for people with disabilities."
